ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Ranger Coordinator assists the delivery of the Nyul Nyul ranger program by providing strong leadership to a team of female Indigenous rangers to deliver on their annual works plan that is guided by Nyul Nyul Traditional Owners. The works plan is made up of diverse range of cultural and natural resource management activities including fire management, threatened and pest species management, on country trips with senior traditional owners, engagement with the local school and much more.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a dynamic and resilient individual with proven skills and capacity in Indigenous engagement, land and sea cultural and natural resource management, project management and administration. You will be a natural leader who can build bridges of common understanding within a diverse team and a wide range of external stakeholders. You should be able to work independently whilst assuring proper consultation is maintained with the Nyul Nyul people.
The position is based in Beagle Bay Community and works across Nyul Nyul country in the West Kimberley in Western Australia.Please see attached JDF for further information.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a member of an interdisciplinary team in the Legal Unit of the Kimberley Land Council, the Senior Lawyer is responsible for the collaborative delivery of legal services in the Kimberley native title representative body area relating to the recognition, protection and management of native title rights and interests, protection and management of Aboriginal cultural heritage, commercial negotiations, and advising on corporate governance and compliance to prescribed body corporates. The Senior Lawyer represents native title parties in courts and tribunals, and in negotiations with future act proponents, and provides legal advice to directors of prescribed bodies corporate on compliance under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth), Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth) and associated subordinate legislation.To qualify, you will need to be admitted, or immediately eligible for admission, as a barrister or solicitor in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.
This position operates out of Broome KLC office with regular travel throughout the Kimberley region.Please see attached JDF for further information.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The role of the Executive Assistant is to provide comprehensive and high-level executive support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO), the Chairperson and the Executive Board. ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Kimberley Land Council (KLC) is the recognised Native Title Representative Body for the Kimberley region in WA. The KLC actively facilitates the registration and operation of Indigenous carbon projects on behalf of Native Title holders and other Kimberley Aboriginal people, including those holding pastoral leases. All projects supported by the KLC are owned directly by Traditional Owners (via the relevant PBC / Aboriginal Corporation). All revenue from these projects goes back to the indigenous proponents, is re-invested and contributes directly to the regional economy, Aboriginal employment, PBC governance and capacity development, as well as ongoing and improved fire management for the savanna burning projects and the benefits they generate.This role will involve primarily managing the delivery of services to Aboriginal Corporations who have currently registered Savannah Carbon Projects as well as supporting existing project proponents across the Kimberley as their projects mature. The role of the Carbon Program Manager supports the generation of untied income to help realise traditional owners’ aspirations and strengthen the capacity and capability of Native Title groups to manage their country. There will also be some limited exposure to new opportunities in the Carbon economy as they develop, as a function of this team.
Overall this will be a diverse role, spanning capacity building, commercial negotiations, stakeholder / partnership and contract management, as well as grant administration.Please see attached JDF for further information.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Overseeing a team of seven and supervising the Senior Finance Officer, this role is responsible for leading the financial operations of the KLC, including financial management, budgeting, and compliance to support the strategic objectives of the organisation. To qualify, you will need relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Financial Management with CPA, CA, or IPA status. A minimum of senior-level operational leadership and organisational management experience in a complex or diverse organisation, preferably in the not-for-profit sector, will also be essential. Demonstrated experience managing finance, accounting, budgets, and financial reporting is also required.
